I’m admittedly not a gambler. I have lived next to the casino for years and can probably count single digits on how often I’ve been inside.
BUT the hotel, perfection! I am a hotel snob! I love a beautiful hotel. David’s Hotel @ Live is that! I love the modern rooms! Beds were comfortable. Nice, clean, modern bathrooms.
The hotel lobby, so, so beautiful. Valet gentlemen were sweet and professional.
I came for a girlfriends birthday. Her husband paid for our hotel rooms for a few nights. We had the best time! Ate too much at Cheesecake Factory but who wouldn’t. Insert smiley face.
Love David’s Hotel @ Live and will definitely return!
Loved our time spent here! We can during the cherry blossom promotion and the staff were the most courteous and we had a wonderful time!! Whoever is doing this promotion was super thoughtful!
This hotel is incredibly beautiful. It was so festive to stay here during the holidays for a retreat for my job, and I loved staying here. The service was top notch and I always got an answer to any questions that I had, and everybody was always so nice. The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean and I never had any issue with my room, checking out, or anything else!
The nicest casino we’ve ever entered including any Vegas casino. Extremely clean & well kept. Many restaurants & eateries. I done play, but hub loves poker. I spent my time at the mother-load of all outlet malls. Just a few steps & boom…the biggest, nicest malls I’ve ever encountered. Every outlet store you can imagine. An enormous food court plus other places spread around to eat or get a snack. It was just so much fun. Many other businesses & restaurants on the outskirts. It was crazy crowded on a Saturday. Can’t wait to go back.
We went for a cheeky gamble on a Monday afternoon hoping to play some low minimum craps and so I could teach a friend how to play.
For some reason the only minimum table was $25. Way too much for me. I’m here looking for a good time not a short expensive time.
Same thing happened when we decided to play Blackjack. Minimum $25 again! On a Monday afternoon! Is it such a bad thing to have lower minimums or do the owners only want people who are happy to spend more?
Don’t expect free drinks while gambling like in Vegas either.
Regardless, there’s some nice bars here. I wouldn’t mind coming here just for some drinks and to watch a sports game. You can play shuffleboard here too.

Andrew, thank you for your review. At Live! we strive to exceed the expectations of our guests. We have shared your comments with our leadership team. Also, it is Maryland State regulation that we cannot offer free alcoholic beverages to guests. We hope to see you again soon!
For as much money as I paid, and how high scale they make the hotel look/seem, im very disappointed and will not be booking here again. Upon walking in and inspecting my room, there were crumbs and dirt everywhere. Nice to know they dont sweep or vacuum in between guests. I stayed two nights, and found myself having to go to the restaurants in the casino for more to drink than the two slot online complimentary minibottles of water they give you, and one bottle of ginger ale was lima dollars. I guess i should’ve expected nothing less, but the food and restaurants all seemed the same. Some of the food they offer at luckies you can find at orchid kitchen which is also the envivo restaurant in one. I expected since the restaurants are listed as separate entities that they would be separate but its not. Not as big of a deal as a dirty room. I’m glad i didn’t pick and pay more for the other suites, because I wouldve been even angrier at the poor cleanliness of this place during a pandemic. Even though I was looking forward to staying here but I am extremely disappointed. Imagine cutting into a beautiful extravagant looking cake just to find out its made out of stale rice krispie treats. That’s exactly what staying here was like, i’ve stayed at cleaner hotels that were cheaper than this. Even the complimentary toiletries were dirty looking. I can never get the time and money i spent here back, and for that I say save yourself the disappointment and skip staying here.
I thought it was alright. It’s kind of hard to get to this casino as it’s built with a massive mall complex. You would think that is a positive but it seems to be more of a negative as it really reduces the space of the casino and also makes parking confusing. The actual facility wasn’t as great or has as much food and bar offerings as I was hoping. Casinos are limited in Maryland and the Baltimore area especially but I feel like MGM NH and Charles Town have more all-encompassing experiences. This is more for just a quick go at gambling and then heading out after to somewhere else.
Visiting Live! And decided to watch the game while we had dinner. The TV screens were great and we had lots to watch. Our server Kia was FANTASTIC! Very thoughtful, thorough, polite and gracious. She checked in with us many times, gave us updates on our drinks and orders, and checked that we had everything we needed. The food was delicious! We started with the ahi tuna appetizer – soooo good. There were lima pieces and we fought over who got the last one lol (Hubby won).
Hubby had the pork belly burger, cooked well done as he requested, just a tad spicy for him. Fries were great too! I had the turkey burger that came on a toasted, buttered, brioche bun with fresh avocados! I took off some of the jalapeños and left everything else. It was cooked perfectly – crispy outside, juicy inside – and I loved the combination of flavors (no ketchup needed). Kia was able to sub a salad for me instead of fries and it was a great meal. Sorry no pics this time.
Our drinks were also great and Kia gave us to go cups so we could take them out on the floor. Lovely experience. We would definitely stop back. Thanks Kia!!!Business owner information

Laura, thank you for the lima star review. We have shared your positive experience with your server with our leadership team. We hope to see you again soon!
This place really sucks. The place smells, it’s dirty, and the service is pretty terrible. I have waited upwards of 45 minutes in lines here. It’s designed so you can never cash out, use promotions, ask questions, and the staff can be either helpful or totally useless; it’s honestly a 50/50 shot. They messed up my name on my account so no one else could find it, any time I’ve asked a question they direct me somewhere else in the casino (cuz they don’t want to actually deal with customers) or tell me to wait for a supervisor which has historically been upwards of 30 minutes.
Honestly, lighting your money on fire would be more fun than this place. Stick with MGM National Harbor!Business owner information

Overall, for what it is it’s enjoyable. Parking is decent. Food is hit or miss. I like the variety of slots and tables that are available and the close proximity to the mall and etc. At times it can seem dirty and it’s usually hard to get a cocktail sitting at a slot. It’s enjoyable to come to the sports tv area to watch games, if you can get a table. I wouldn’t actually stay here at the hotel but for a few hours of gambling and whatnot it is pretty good.
